Since the twins are coming on Thursday (yes, I can hardly believe it!), I figured I better play catch-up on the blog. This means trying to capture three wonderful showers into one blog post, so hopefully it is not too long.:)
Austin’s mom and sister hosted an adorable shower for me at Sironia, a cute little shop and restaurant in Waco. Lots of Austin’s family were there as well as Waco friends. The decorations were the absolute cutest! A diaper cake, cake ball rattles, sippy cups for flower vases and even two Baylor footballs with tutus to name a few. For lunch, we had a delicious salad trio of chicken salad, pasta and fruit.
Austin’s dad is a dentist in Waco and the sweet ladies he works with hosted a shower for Austin and me. This shower was fun because Austin was there too and got to help me open gifts. We played “Guess how big my belly is…” and one of the ladies made a yummy princess cake.
On my team at work, there are three of us who are pregnant (one actually just had her baby last week)! My coworkers are expecting boys. It has been so much fun being able to talk with them and the other new moms on our team about our pregnancies. I don’t know what I would have done without their helpful tips!
One Friday afternoon, my coworker asked the three of us if we wanted to get cookies from a team on another floor. Leave it to the three pregnant women to jump at the opportunity and completely overlook that the rest of our team was not at their desks. Before we knew it, we were walking into a surprise baby shower for the three of us! We were completely shocked! The team had an adorable cake, cookies, zoo animal decorations and several fun games for us. They had compiled everyone’s baby pictures and we had to guess who was who. I am so glad I was able to share this shower with my coworkers!
Before getting pregnant I was super active. Running, road biking, mountain biking, free weights, yoga….you name it, I probably have tried it! Once I found out I was pregnant with the twins, I knew I would have to tone down my activity level, but also still wanted to stay as active as possible during pregnancy. […]
Y’all, I cannot even begin to tell you how blessed I feel by all the sweet friends and family who have hosted baby showers for us. It reminds me of during our engagement when friends and family from all parts of our lives gathered together to celebrate. These girls are so lucky to be born […]
For those of you who know me, you know I LOVE weddings. I still look at wedding blogs and wedding videos on a regular basis. Because of this, I get extra excited every time we receive a Save the Date card in the mail. So far this year, we have 3 weddings between February and […]
Growing up, my mom always threw the best themed birthday parties! From a Luau to the Parent Trap to a Jungle Safari, there was never a lack of creativity. When we were back in California over the holidays, my parents hosted us our first baby shower and it was absolutely perfect. The fun thing about […]
Growing up, my family always sent a Christmas photo so it only seemed natural to keep up the tradition once Austin and I got married. This year I was extra excited to send one because I could show off the bump.
I have seen so many adorable ways that people have announced they are expecting! From your classic photo with the ultrasound to incorporating pets to even making a video, there is no limit to the creativity…
In Dallas, we don’t get a true “fall” season. If you have a 70-degree day, people will start breaking out their scarves. Because of this, I get pretty excited whenever I can find a bit of fall in the city […]
